That one's simple. Don't treat them like stars. Treat them like someone you've heard about from a friend for awhile, and are just now meeting. I've known a couple members of REM since I was a kid (they went to the same high school as my older siblings). They really prefer to be treated that way.

heh heh...I am FAR from spontaneous, unfortunately.
The weird thing is...I'm probably going to see them at this exclusive gig at a pub (bar) down in Devon - sometime this month, I think. But I knew about that a while ago, and then this happens as well!
Somebody up there has decided I needed a bit of luck.
