It is time to go on to other, more important, pursuits. The current political climate, as well as personal responsibilities, requires me to place my priorities elsewhere. This has been fun, educational, and even enlightening; but now it is time to get back to the real work.

It has been a pleasure meeting all of you.

Say what you will in the thread; but I won't be reading it, nor responding. Those of you who PM me, there will be no further answers. Save the keystrokes.

Gonz: Kill my sign on, I will not be back.

Spike: It's been fun. Let's never do it again -- real soon.

Minkey: That beer is still on the table.

rJ: If you're ever in the neighborhood. Minkey and Cerise have my e-mail addy.

BoP: Keep that bearded clam safe and warm.

Cato, Cerise, Gonz, Altron, BofS, chcr, Frank, Frodo, Gato, H2O, Inky, Leslie, Luis, Mirlyn, Bish, Nalani, Prof, Paul, RM, Tonks, unclehobart, valkyrie, keep up the good fight whatever your political orientation might be. Its been a pleasure.

Best of everything to all; and I wish all of you long life and great treasure.

See Ya,

j

Well if you mean it, then I say may life bless you with all that I would want for myself.. I have a hard time believing it, but if its so I hope you do dedicate yourself to something more productive. I would say however that there are idle moments in front of the computer in all our lives, and if nothing else this exercises some mental muscle. A focus on something different can mean a reduction or even a hiatus, I just think goodbye forever is kind of extreme and it is easy to end up eating crow.

Whatever the deal is Jim, as frustrated as I get arguing with you I'll miss you some, and be relieved some as well. Take care....

Edit: Just cuz you say you won't read it, even if you mean it, does not take away from the need to say it, if only to myself, among other reasons I will not attempt to explain....

Well jim, if I don't see ya before then, I'll see ya on the other side.

I assume you are a Christian.

Weird.

I shouldn't conjecture on what you're up to. Best of luck, seemed like you were coming around on a few things.

Kinda weird drama tho'. "gotta split/bye/won't read this"

Take care and stuff.

Well it is real quiet without him, but I talked to him over email and I am glad. I actually am just as annoyed by idiot liberals as I am staunch conservatives. There is more to life than that and he is by no means the first friend of mine who was kooky politically. I wish him well, and now he can tell me how goes it himself. But admit it, all of you, you miss him at least a little too!

Too cute for words
I took him to be referring to the hairy-eyed, nutjob variety. Sorry if I misinterpreted.

Don't listen to Mink, Jim... a 50 cal is an awesome piece of machinery and a hell-of-a-lotta fun to shoot. Fuckin'-A!

On subject: sorry to see you leave, Jim. You know... I left for a while and came back. You can also. You could also reinvent yourself as another login if you're looking to change people's view of yourself. (Never done it but knew people who did.)

So would that be first hand experience?

I've fired a BAR, an M60, an M16, an M1, and an AK47. Not that I am a liberal, but you think I am. Aren't people like me supposed to be afraid of guns? I actually own a gun even. All I do with it is shoot holes in this no trespassing sign on a tree in the woods behind my house that nobody pays any attention to anyway. But there are a lot of things in this world I am quite sure would surprise you and all your crazy preconceived notions of how it is.

Are you saying you have a preconceived notion about me?

By "first hand experience" I wasn't questioning the possiblilty of the statement, I was questioning the veracity of it.
