Seriously minkey, this is what I was trying to convey to you.

This is a serious issue, and a potential legal nightmare, and you just treat it as
no big deal. The feds already have too many fingers in the gun buying pie (what
part of "shall not be infringed" do they not understand) and now, just as predicted,
the President orders new limitations, without Congressional approval, and all you can do it make it a bad joke?

You don't see about half a dozen issues here?

more like i have a different threshold than you do.

there have been a bunch of scares and buying frenzies since and even before obammy got in the white house. none of them have really turned into shit. this is the first real assertion of a 2nd amendment issue from obamus. now there's a leg to stand on rather than just crying wolf like the NRA's been doing all along. (brilliant design for the NRA to undermine itself, BTW.)

it's obvious this is just a tactical move for obama in trying to cover his ass over operation poopframe or whatever it was called. and that suggests a bit of rhetorical constraint, but, a real threshold has been reached...

but in many ways there is no problem. the situation for most of us is fine. the D gov of my state just signed a bill including a provision to make suppressors legal. i can go a mile up the street and buy an ak-47, take it out in the woods near my friend's place in the boonies, and do whatever it is that goat fuckers do with an ak-47 and another man in the forest. i have two handguns (of the same model - the twins). they were both purchased in private party cash and handshake deals, which is legal here. i don't feel like i need a machine gun... in fact i don't feel like i need a gun at all in a personal sense, though i like that there are a zillion regular americans out there that do have them.

and i suppose there is a big difference in perspective. i'm fairly insulated from a lot of things at this point, so i don't have many serious worries... i will be fine long-term no matter who gets elected, because what i do is part of the broader system that includes the power structure (both parties). and capital eats the corn kernels in is own shit like a fucking chimpanzee, to bleed every last bit of energy from it.

ever wonder about animals that eat their young? it's nothing more than a part of nature, right?

shit, i say let leo out of the cage. at least it would be entertaining. :grinyes:

I was thinking about an AK-47 recently. Talking to my brother-in-law, a 'nam green beret, he said he'd take one over the M-16 any day of the week (and did when the chance presented itself).

I like the larger round but the loose-fitting clip that I've read about sounds shaky.

yeah i really don't like AKs that much, but perhaps if charlie was shooting at me while i was trying to run across a rice paddy, i might think different.

for my uses - paper targets - an AR is way better. it's not difficult to put together a rifle that'll shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards, whereas with an AK, you're prolly gonna get 6" groups. imagine what the latter opens up to at around 400 yards. the phrase "broad side of a barn" comes to mind. but, again, i won't be hosing down the enemy in close-quarters urban battle anytime soon.

BTW the larger round doesn't really mean much except under very specific circumstances. e.g. the AK has better barrier penetration. i guess that is good fo killin commie bastards! for me, i'd rather have shitty barrier penetration and be able to target shoot safer, rather than having the thing go through the target berm or whatever and take out mrs. tooly's pet goat.

Looks like the Zetas dood was telling the truth, that he got his guns from directly from the US government. Whooda thunk it?

Operation Castaway

Hey, when Osama first got elected, didn't he and Hillary say that; guns sales in the US needed more controls, that 90% of the guns used in crimes in Mexico came from straw purchases in the United States?

Sure seems like maybe they are finally getting around to making that statement true. Good jorb!

yep. not surprising they would have another opuration:clusterfuck going in another big city with ties to latin america.

some things are obvious in this shit being exposed.

the administration didn't devote the level of resources they should have to make the operations run correctly, because...

they vastly underestimated the ability of the peons - both the tea party and the cartel facebookers - to make them look foolish, and also get some press. party in chihuahua. terrorists win. broken boner for obamus.

this comedy has turned to the most pathetic form of tragedy.

just like the previous administration. and the one before that.

threshold.

kinda like how i feel right now about google and their ability to write an intuitive UI.

dorkfest all around.

Yeah, by letting guns flow clean out of your jurisdiction you're going rack up the arrest aren't'cha?

I think the plan was working just as planned, of course until they got caught.

it's pucker-time in the alphabet soup of agencies that playing CYA in the "gunwalker" and "castaway" programs.

This time its both the crime and the cover-up.

It's already showing quite a bit corruption, much more that just being stupid.

Do remember when Hillery, Braraq Ubama and others we're talking about the need for more gun control to curb the the flow of guns to mexico? They kept saying that 90% of them were coming from the US? -- It was a lie that they then moved make true so they could implement more gun laws. -- They got caught.

Selling guns from Florida to the Zetas was bad move too. Operation Castaway is gonna leave another festering welt on this administration. This administration is responsible for more deaths than the Norwegian killer. What are few hundred Mexicans when you have an agenda, right? LOL, politics.

wow. yeah they killed all those people! well, with that kinda relationship between causality and culpability, i guess we should hold gun manufacturers responsible + liable for just about anything bad that happens with their products. hey, stupidity goes both ways!
