Gran Prix Weekend

ahh, the smell of summer is in the air, the sun stays out longer, the skirts are sold shorter, and in Montreal, it's gran prix weekend.

The town is flooded with tourists, all kinds of things going on.

On the way back for an appointment for work I stopped by Cresent street (one of the main streets for nightlife) and it was the Paddock party, formula 1 cars, ferraris, and women wearing what I can only describe as carefully placed tissues.

I love this city.

I used to work on Crescent street...for about 5years, and the Grand Prix week plus the race weekend makes for some very interesting times. The parties are HUGE and the outfits...miniscule :)

Then again...the same can be said for the Jazz fest, the Just for Laughs, the Blues fest north of the city, the Black&Blue etc etc... some of the hundred festivals happening in Montreal every supper :)

I personally like the Fringe Fest and the the JFL

I can hear the time trial from here (work)...and if I go out the back yard of the church and walk about 5 mins...I get to the edge of the river and can look upon the track.

It's lovely...and now it's not just Crescent street which is teeming with people...but most of downtown Montreal. Aah.,...the miniskirts :)

Keep your eyes to yourself and your tongue off the pavement. If you're going for an appointment for the office, you shouldn't be stopping other places either. Now get back to work.

This city is amazing during the summer with it's multiple festivals, the amount of people visiting etc. I can live without seing the chicks with their skimpy outfits though. Lord knows that these days even the "big" girls don't cover anything up either. Ewww!

Why should the "big girls" be any different and cover up? Some of them look damned hot if I may say so myself. I plan on being dressed to the 9's when I head downtown this weekend. Be damed if anyone is gonna tell me I'm too fat to wear my skirt too short! I'll sit on them! And not in a good way. ;)

I do agree that SOME of them go a bit too far, but some of them do look really good with some skin showing. All the power to them. It's far past the time that a fat girl could only leave the house with everything covered from under her chin to her toes. If you've got it, flaunt it.

And I know I'm gonna be people watching this weekend. That should be a hoot.

I love Montreal.. :)

ROFL.. OK.. Which way are you coming from first of all. Are you coming in from the 640 or the 25? and the clover there is hard to navigate if you don't know where you are.

And what were you doing in Mascouche??????

That's the ones I'm talking about. I'm not super skinny myself but I do show some skin. I'm talking exactly of the ones with the rolls upon rolls hanging over a short skirt. All you want to do is cringe when you look at them.

OK.. So coming up the 640 from the 40..

Take the main exit (don't know what number it is), brings you on to the 25. Stay on your right and take the small service road that will bring you to the lights at the intersection of the 25 and Montee Masson. Stay on your right.

Turn Right at the lights and travel North on Montee Masson until you reach the lights. There is pepiniere on your left and the Entrance to the Rona and Carree Masson on your right where the Timmy's is. Hang a right, there. Now you're in the drive to the Wal-Mart.

Hope that helps, and you can always blame me if you get lost.
