Canada well on it's way towards a Conservative Majority

Elections are on the 28th. The Liberals used to be in the lead, with Conservatives close behind, then the NDP (New Democratic Party) and the Bloc Québéquois right behind them. Now...after the french language and englich language debates...it's starting to look like a Conservative minority or majority GVT will be in palce on the 29th.

After 12 years in power...the Libs are about to be punished the old fashined way...kicked out of office. I can see the relationshop between the USA and Canada changing as well...more "Yes" votes for the Star-wars idea, sale of water across the border, more military spending etc... a more conservative ideology. The cancellation of the gun registry and the money funneled into law enforcement, change in taxation of gas, change in foreign policy etc...

A question to the non-Canadiens. How would you see relations between a Conservative Canada and your country change?

I've always thought the US, and Canada had a pretty good relation ship...
up until the last 5 years or so.... :confused:
I think this will make it better though.

I personally have never met a Canadian I didn't like (only about 5 in person),
but I don't think any of them were leftwing extremest.

We're not extremist...jsut more 'socialist' than the average American. I think that we're likeble people...a bit overly polite. Here's the rub though. In our desire to punish the Liberal Party, we may be about to vote in people who will change our outward appearance. The political meanderings of our leaders are more visible than the beliefs of our individuals.

Doesn't matter to me or to most Quebequers who's in power in France.

We may speak the same language, but mosst Quebec people hate France as much or more than the average American.

It's unfotunate if the Con's do come into power in this country. The basic message that they are putting out there, that I am hearing, is that they want to pretty much abolish women's right's.

THey are also against alot of the things that have finally come to pass int he past couple of years. THe Gay Marriage laws jsut got passed a very short time ago and they would liek to see it gone again. Hopefully the Supreme court won't allow that to happen.

Abortion is a legal medical procedure here in Canada. THe right of choice will be abolished as well for any medical reasons, be they life and death related or not.

I personally pay attention to the message that they put out there for us and not to the hype. But I will never vote PQ nor will I ever vote Con. THe Liverals are becomming a little to over the top these days and I don't like my NDP rep for where I am. A little more digging is in order I guess.

I've not heard the pols in your country speak so I am somewhat speaking out of turn. Yet this is a false prophecy of the American conservatives & I believe it to be similar enough in nature to take a blind stab and still poke the bullseye.

Woman doesn't have rights. Neither do those of Chinese or Hispanic or Japanese or Negriod ancestry. Nor those of the Y chromosome. In your country, Canadians should be the ones with rights. Those may not be taken away. The rest are special & need to be outlawed because they give certain groups more power than others.

Canucks, am I close enough to the mark to score 100?

are white males?
(I guess they don’t need government intervention to get the things they want in life?)

Everybody else is demanding the government give them things, they are after all they are entitled are they not?!
Look at the situation closely and you will find at the bottom of every one of these claims of Rights you will see an attempt to steal something from someone else.
