A new, unpatched flaw in that affects all versions of Firefox could let attackers surreptitiously run malicious code on users' PCs, a security researcher has warned.

The problem lies in the way Firefox handles Web links that are overly long and contain dashes, security researcher Tom Ferris said in an interview via instant messaging late Thursday.

Yeah, but Firefox actually markets itself as a more secure solution. While this kind of stuff is unavoidable, it's a mite more embarrasing when you're saying things like that.

Has anyone tried to use Thunderbird?? Was thinking on it, but I have a hotmail account and it seems complicated to setup.

How do you get it to link to the hotmail then? or who is a good server that it works with easier? I tried following the faq on it, but I just couldn't... could be cuz of the whole no sleep thing, but who knows.

I don't use hotmail but it does pick up my gmail...well, after it automatically goes after my default email I have to tell it to go get the rest. It may do so but I've not looked into how.

is anyone using the google talk service? i installed it last week and the sound quality is excellent. the only problem i've had is that i can't connect to it with gaim, and it's supposed to work but is unsupported.
