i just got hired by a cleaning company, but i'm allowed to change my mind.... i haven't put in my 2wks notice at the courthouse yet.
does anyone have experience with this, or know anyone who does? i think i could do it, but i'm afraid it will suck.

it's not work that i'd mind doing. especially with an ipod. your brain can be somewhere else, and at least you can see tangible results from your efforts.

it's probably an okay business IF you start your own. when you work it out, we're paying our housekeeper inthe range of $40-50 per hour. cash money. but if you work for somebody else, chances are they're gonna work you hard and pay you dick.

now i'm thinking i don't want to do it :( i'd be making the same amount of money i do now working parttime, for a fulltime week of heavy physical work :(
*goes off to investigate positions in other courthouses* :-/

Having worked Janitorial I'll put my to sense worth in.Cleaning is a job where the client is always looking for the cheapest labour,so don't expect to advance/raise .It also means that even if you are doing a kickass job ,you will be replaced at the drop of a hat. There are always those jobs where the client is constantly watching you while you work.Hope that makes your decision easier or at least reaffirms a decision already made.

Check your PMs.

I'm sure you'll have a blast and a half the first time you have to take a pumice stone to the drain part of a toilet bowl.
