The TSA chose Meg McLain for special screening. They wanted her to go through the new porno-scanners. When she opted out, TSA agents raised an enormous ruckus. When she asked some question about what they planned to do to her, they flipped out. TSA agents yelled at her, handcuffed her to a chair, ripped up her ticket, called in 12 local Miami cops and finally escorted her out of the airport. Listen to her story as she told it on radio show Free Talk Live last night. Things are truly getting scary.

She opted-out of the body scanner and the TSA thugs yelled out "opt-out! opt out! opt out!". More TSA thugs came running.

This is all psy ops.

I'd enjoy them more if we didn't have to pay for them, whether or not we use them.

Personal transportation is the best. Especially when it pollutes a lot.

erm, california, we aren't allowed to smog.

But Hey, we are getting a high-speed rail system from Bakersfield to Fresno. Just think of the the migrant workers going to work in Fresno from here and back everyday. -- Now if we only had some water for agriculture.

i'd plook meg. sounds like she ran into a bored and bitchy TSA person, but are we really sure of what meg said? are we certain she wasn't getting uppity?

i've been through those scanners many times. i've never seen anyone have a problem. big fucking deal.

Try opting out and see what happens. The only way to determine her veracity is to experience it for yourself.

okay jim, i will.

and because i'm not an agitator with a specific agenda (try googling meg) that defies common courtesy to try and make its point, i will not have any problem.

(oh meg, so beautiful, yet... so unattractive. just like one of them rabid feminist chicks that will bite my head off before a word comes out, you've soiled yourself with your own identity trip.)

The automatic choice for the person being screened is Body Scanner vs Pat-down.

Just asking for the pat-down shouldn't have caused a ruckus... trying to raise some hell and get some press-time out of it should get you some hassle.

Don't Touch My Junk!
(Nov. 15) -- A California man got thrown out of San Diego's airport when he refused a revealing full-body scan and then an alternative pat-down, telling a Transportation Security Agent, "If you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested."

John Tyner, 31, said he was told he could face a civil lawsuit and a $10,000 fine for leaving the screening area before the security check was complete, according to news reports and his blog.

this guy went looking for a confrontation and found it. x-rayed pics of genitals really aren't all that exciting folks, and i'd prefer it if the next fuckwad with a pound of c4 stuck up his ass doesn't get onto the plane. (but hey, why not just detonate it in the security line, where there's a pretty high density of people?)

I don't plan on even getting near an airport for the foreseeable future,
but...
I don't want any x-ray that isn't an absolute for medical purposes.
I don't much like the idea of the amount of radiation for that little bit.
If someone want to grope me....make sure it's a woman, then bring it on. :D

Riddle me this boys & gilrs...

Why doesn't El Al need nekkid scanners & professional, unionized government gropers?

The article leaves out the best part
A supervisor is heard re-explaining the groin check process to Tyner then adding "If you're not comfortable with that, we can escort you back out and you don't have to fly today."

Tyner responded "OK, I don't understand how a sexual assault can be made a condition of my flying."

"This is not considered a sexual assault," replied the supervisor, calmly.

"It would be if you were not the government," said Tyner.

Professional means its OK to use the whole hand to feel on the 13 year old boys and girls. Also, note the TSA Administrator says its irresponsible to have a choice in this kind of groping. That's ridiculous.

Well, would you look at that! You know minks, that gold plated "bracelet" they give you is really a shackle. You will allow the stripping of your dignity in the name of "security".

Again I ask, what is threshold for you? Does a threshold even exist?
