gee i thought relativism was a pinko commie thing.

so what you are saying is that you are afraid of what will happen to you in a limitless and random universe, so you need "laws" to feel comfortable and safe. hey man, you're not alone. that's the seed of all religion.
as much as I like certain 'order' in most things, I'm not good at religion.
That's why I need faith.
Also probably why I'm not Catholic.

minks, I pretty much have you pegged in Washington. One of the most notoriously liberal cities, huh? I suppose you are in Seattle.

seriously this PC thing is far less pervasive in the real world than you seem to think it is.

Perhaps you ought to get away from the white collar crowd that is already trained in proper PC etiquette.
I hear, either personally, or through the blue collar network, at least one slap-on-the-wrist conversation
per week. Folks in ties are frightened of words they don't like. Look through a standard HR managed
employee handbook. It doesn't say, "work hard & get along, fuck off & get fired". It gives you one hundred
ways to not act like a normal human being

Could you elaborate on that?
I could, but I won't.
I have Catholic friends, and they probably wouldn't take kindly to my views, so I try to leave it alone.

I chalk it up to where Jesus said "he that is not against me is with me" kind of thing.

i think your encounters with white collar folk have been with the underperforming poo jigglers in operations, purchasing, whatever. and given that context you are probably dead-on in your observations.
