Why can't canada?
Dire Straits' 'Money for Nothing' Deemed Offensive In Canada, Can't Air

The decision stems from a listener's complaint last year calling the lyrics — which contain the word "f----t" — extremely offensive to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.
Double win: Gay people no longer feel sad when they hear it and 'money for nothing' is no longer just a joke, it's a way of life.

Pretty silly considering the pejorative 'fagot' in this case is not aimed at homosexuality, but at the high-life of the metrosexual rock/pop stars.

I still hear the song on the CBC yesterday..in it's full glory.

Stupid PC law. At least they didn't try to ban it because of the 'chicks for free' line.
Next, they'll go after hip-hop.

Was metrosexual even part of the nomenclature in the early 80's? As I remember it, faggot pretty much meant faggot in the 80's.

Oh the butt hurt it's a slippery-slope.
