Southern Discomfort
Anybody else around here like college football?

Texas just put the hurt on Ohio State.

I hate Notre Dame, but I hate Michigan more, and the Irish whooped up on Michigan today, so  there too.

Iowa got bitchslapped. That shocked me.

I'm a huge Paterno fan, the only yankee worth sparing that I know of (present company excluded naturally...) Maybe someday he'll have a half ass decent team again.

Besides Paterno, I root for Georgia and whoever is playing Tennessee, Miami, Nebraska, Michigan, Florida State, Ohio State or Notre Dame. And of course me alma mater, MTSU, but they are pretty small.

So...who can I fight with? :lloyd:

Long time PAC 8, err, PAC10 fan (Arizona State University Sun Devils) Living in Big Ten country I can't get nary a single paragraph about "out west" so the loop is closed & I've given up on collegiate. All I hear about is Ohio State, Notre Dumb & Michigan.

As a proud graduate (oh yeah, I should mention that somewhere huh?) of Fresno State, I follow the Bulldogs every week on the radio. Right now they're putting the hurt on perennial national power Weber State. :D

WOO IU squeaked out a W over Nichols St., a team without a college due to the hurricane. Should be another great season...

Watched Notre Dame/Michigan, GA Tech/UNC, UGA/USC, an hour of Texas/Ohio State, and the LSU/Arizona game until I collapsed at midnight.

Yeah.. I watch college ball. :)

The list of teams I like is small.. enemies are endless.

That's LSU/Arizona State. Arizona (The University of) is in Tucson and they really don't like being confused with "that other school." :D

I root for the U of A (but they suck recently) and Cornell (well, the tailgate parties are generally tasteful and well catered). Of course the Ivy League (why don't we have a nose-in-the-air smilie?) doesn't start their football schedule until classes are well under way (next weekend, in fact). Some silliness about people going to college to get an education or something.

Note that Arizona won their home opener against NAU (Northern Arizona) last night. Rather like beating Dave's Community College and Laundromat.

Damned skippy. The Mildcats are an embarassment to the state ;)

I'll watch Colorado State University (which by the by, got its ass handed to it yet again yesterday) and Utah, but that's about it.

I primarly watch it because there's really nothing else to watch on Saturdays. Don't have a particular favorite, hate Michigan the most since my dad's GF loves them, but am pretty indifferent to everyone else.

Boise State fell right off the face of the earth after two horrid weeks in the big time.

Notre Dame seems to have found their magic again and zoomed from nothingness to 10th place.

Notre Dame only won because Chad Henne plays quarterback for Michigan. Three trips inside the 10 and three turnovers, Michigan wins that game by at least 14 with a halfway decent QB. Notre Dame did nothing that 2nd half. That and a win over Pitt who obviously is a crappy program seeing that they lost to Ohio, Notre Dame is wayyyyy overrated and USC will exploit that come October 15.

I have been busy, then had a girlfriend that decided she needed my free time more than I did. Got back from travelling places and have a little more time. Look!! I have been registered here for 39 months and I made my first post today!

39 months? Damn, you really could've used some 'posting viagra', couldn't you? :D I forgot, now I have another enemy in college: Pitt. Wanny set back the Bears back a whole decade, but at least he's proving he's a total loser everywhere (wasting no time, either), and it's so fun to watch his mustache furrow as he can't figure out his head from his ass, let alone how to run a football team.

Pitt is almost a decade behind after 2 games. Then they have to play Nebraska today, however Nebraska is in just as bad shape so it may be an epic battle of crappy teams.
