Graphics software

I was just wondering what graphics software everybody uses.

I use mostly:

Adobe:
Paintshop Pro 7
Animation Shop 3

Macromedia:
Flash 5 - learning

Serif:
Photoplus 8
PagePlus 8
DrawPlus 6
PoPArtPLus 1

Others:
Replig8
Coffeecup Animator
Coffeecup Button Factory

I've got plenty of others but these are what I use at the moment.

Which do you find best and why? Do you find different programs better for doing different things(ignoring flash) and if so what?.

MGI Photosuite 4 is pretty good for doing some effects. It came bundled with a printer that I bought.

photoshop 6
illustrator 9
golive 5
quark xpress 4.1
publisher [i know it's retard but it really does have its uses]
minicad 7
autocad 2000
i have formz but i'm not yet able to use it properly

i also have dreamweaver, flash, fireworks, pagemaker etc but don't have them installed if i'm not using them. i mainly use photoshop and publisher for most of my stuff but have recently been making inroads into illustrator and acrobat formats.
for webdesign i'm a big golive fan.

and obviously there is the other graphics solution - pen/pencil and the scanner or some digital cam shots. its always nice to be able to do a quick sketch or abstract and scan it in for integration into pages.

I have golive and a few others I haven't used yet but I usually use these for writing Web pages at the moment:

I usually use Adobe Photoshop 7 and Illustrator 9 (sometimes). Also do stuff in 3dsmax 4, Bryce 4, and I've played around with Maya and Lightwave. If I do web work, I'll probably use Macromedia Flash 5 and/or javascript.

Sorry, I do know - I must have been half asleep when I posted that. :)

I also have:

Adobe:
after effects
dimensions
illistrator 9
indesign 1.5
live motion
premiere 5.1
streamline
go live 5
photoshop

macromedia:

freehand
fireworks 5
DW ultradev

I just haven't used them much at this point. I'm just looking for the best programmes for me to use. I also have Adobe Acrobat 5 which I'm learning to use to create e-books with - I intend to become my own publisher eventually, so I'm also learning about e-commerce and setting up sites, secure servers, etc. But it all takes time.

I don't smoke, rarely drink, even more rarely go out and my computer is my life. Does that make me a geek or a nerd? ?(

I have to spend my money on something, I get jittery if it stays in the bank too long. :)

Most of my software was bought on special offer or as upgrades from software that was given to me free by the manufacturers and I admit some I did a swap for.

College is great huh? Those that you don't get free you get at greatly reduced prices. ;) Being a student rocks.

Dreamweaver UltraDev 4
GoLive 5 (uninstalled because DW rocks)
Fireworks 4
IrfanView 3.75
FreeHand 10

But why mess with stock graphics when you can have video :headbang:

Adobe Premiere 6.5
MediaCleaner 6
Adobe AfterEffects 5
