hold on! it involves violence - there will certainly be suggestions that bad people from across the border - those gun-grazed americans - came and done it...

Police focus on biker link

Father has to wait to hear news of son
Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Dave Rektor addresses a news conference near the area where eight men were found dead inside four vehicles near Shedden, Ont. on Saturday April 8, 2006. The grisly spectacle shattered the pastoral tranquillity of this quiet village known as Ontario's rhubarb capital, about 30 kilometres southwest of London near St. Thomas, and sent shocked residents in search of answers.

SHEDDEN, ONT. -- Investigators are focusing on links between outlaw motorcycle gangs and the deaths of eight men whose bodies were found in remote southwestern Ontario woods, some of them stuffed into the trunks of four abandoned cars.

Provincial police said yesterday that the eight men, whose violent deaths startled this hamlet on Saturday, were all from the Toronto area and knew each other.

But investigators were not identifying any of the slain men. "We have an understanding of who some of the victims are," Detective Superintendent Ross Bingley told reporters gathered on the isolated dirt road where a farmer and his wife discovered the bodies.

"We're in that process right now [of identifying them], and until that positive identification has been made we won't be releasing any names."

This is what it's about
