London shaken by explosions

Al-Masri, the British taxpayer has been most generous to the accused terrorist who blew off his own hand and lost an eye making a bomb. Example Masri plans to sue the British government for the £200 a week in welfare he says he is owed for almost three years. This would complement the other benefits he receives. Pipes reports that al-Masri receives a rent-free £500-a-month house in which his wife and eight children live; £2 million of taxpayer funds to pay for his now-seven-year legal battle against deportation; special help in jail to bathe, dress, and eat due to his disabilities, as well as a personal nurse who visits him daily; and a new hook.

Yep, that's why the unexploded bombs surprise me. It's not the type of mistake al-Qaeda usually makes.

Re McVeigh; Please don't tell me you believe that he and Nichols acted alone. That was a pure "sweep it under the rug and move on" deal.

McVeigh: I think he and Nichols did act alone, but were doing so for their own terrorist organisation. You and Rob and Marc are right about the Al Qaeda thing more than I was but it had been said on the news. Though I think Al Qaeda may call responsibility for similar acts to this and 9/11 for a while.

Everyone knows GW masterminded the whole thing
from Scotland. This will be a great excuse to rampage
into another peaceful Islamic nation.

I think Al Qaeda should have talked to the IRA, blowing us up doesn't instill the kind of fear they expect. If they want to scare us they should hide our teabags and beer.

last terrorist attacks in london were probably the white city bomb (bbc, hit by a taxi-bomb), and possbily the bus-bomb before that. they were late 90's i think.

2001 was the last one. There was the car bomb in fulham and then the IRA fired a shoulder launched rocket at the MI6 building in vauxhall. At the time I lived in elephant and castle, which is about a mile away.

If Squiggy was here he would have seconded it. I feel that it should be dealt with as well.
