McVeigh: I think he and Nichols did act alone, but were doing so for their own terrorist organisation. last terrorist attacks in london were probably the white city bomb (bbc, hit by a taxi-bomb), and possbily the bus-bomb before that. they were late 90's i think.

2001 was the last one. There was the car bomb in fulham and then the IRA fired a shoulder launched rocket at the MI6 building in vauxhall. At the time I lived in elephant and castle, which is about a mile away.
