With the browning the ammo can be spendy...but worth the price for the securety...

Well... Here is what followed me home.
GI .45 1911-A1

Springfield's GI .45 1911 is nearly identical to the service pistol issued to US troops during WWII. If you are looking for an impeccably reliable .45 with strong collector appeal, this is the pistol for you.

SA does some good guns..and their returns policy is strong. Limited defects on the 1911 series and fairly easy to clean from everything I've heard.

It's not HK, but... who can afford an H&K?
