At work, we support a fleet of IBM laptops, almost all T41-42 and R50-52
All of these machines use the same motherboard, and all are succeptable to the same failure; cracked solder under the video chip. The can cause the machines to be rather unstable and can cause the screen to blank at any time.
Well, I just had a co-worker use those very same words to describe me. Unstable, and liable to go off at any time. Now they're claiming it might be a communicable disease and that I'm infecting the computers. This may prove to be one of those labels that sticks.
