is there a way not to have a message sent to your sent items everytime you pm?

When you send a message, make sure the checkbox at the bottom of the message that says "save a copy in your sent items" (paraphrased) is unchecked.

I don't know if you have to do this everytime, or if once you do it it saves in your settings. Send a test pm or two and see if it works.
