One interesting thing... all those red states that get more than they give tend to also be full of poor people. Wouldn't that make the Democrats the party of the rich and the elite and the Republicans the party of the common man? 
Also... did New Mexico go for Bush in 2004? I know it was a blue state in 2000.

I don't know about you, but I get the feeling the whole stinking business sticks in McCain's craw a little bit. I think he feels obligated, but can still remember when he was an honorable man (and, incidentally, one I certainly would have voted for).
