I don't have to like an artist to appreciate their contributions. I ain't never been called a Neil Young fan, but he deserves to be there.

When all you have going for you is theatrics and a couple of well known songs, I don't think that qualifies as a great rock band though. Anyone can put on makeup and put pytrotechnics in their shows. It's more gimmick than legend for me. Eiw and Gene Simmons is gross, always has been.

I don't like Neil Young either. Or Bob Dylan - that one drives my husband crazy. I will say though, after seeing that documentary that Marty Scorcese directed on Bob Dylan, I do have a greater appreciation. Maybe because I wasn't introduced to him during the decades he was most popular, I only associate him with his later stuff where I can't understand a word.

I am completely flabbergasted that rational people can claim that Leonard Cohen is bigger in the history of rock and roll than KISS is. Like or dislike the music all you want, that isn't the criteria. Maybe I should look into joining the Leonard Cohen Army.

So you don't agree with the inductees, some people wouldn't agree if KISS got inducted. It's a personal opinion...and the people who make the choices have personal opinions just like any other. Not everyone has to share your opinions, and you don't have to agree with theirs...However, that does NOT make their opinions incorrect. Last I checked there isn't a checklist of requirements to be inducted into a hall of fame...a lot of it is how the decisions makers see the people.
