I see the pres. says he is cutting 4 trillion, but from what?
What is the over all spending budget?

Is anyrhnig Really being cut in either budget proposal, over all?
(compared to say, oh, 2000?)

ummm maybe you should try finding that stuff out?

there is no comparison to 2000. bush added 5 trillion dollars to the deficit since then, and obama's continued with the upward spike. it's absolutely a whole different ballgame now than it was before, because when clinton left the debt was at least somewhat under control (not that clinton necessarily gets credit for it).

are any of you aware to the extent to which the bush tax cuts have added to the budget imbalance? we need to slash spending AND the bush tax cuts, get our sorry house in order, and then get to a point where we can begin to sanely afford tax cuts. sorry chimps, you gotta pay your debt off as quickly as you can. stop being a bunch of whining teenagers, pony up, and set the thing right. right now most of you are looking for a free lunch.

I will, if need be, but it's easier to ask first.
I had some grass cutting to do.

there is no comparison to 2000.
So Let's do one.

It would be interesting to see them all that Bush did, and compare.
I'd just like to see the totals on the proposals/appropriations.

I wonder if it can be said enough, so that the Libs in the gov. get it.
Nah, guess not, but here goes again anyway.

Pres. Obama, there isn't a revenue problem, there's a Spending problem.
Cut at least half of the New gov. positions you've created, and We'll be on a good start Then,
to restoring the sanity, and fiscal responsibility.

yeah maybe what do you think about the substantive points i raised?

you think we deserve to have our cake (nix the deficit) and eat it, too (tax cuts)?

nope. sorry. we ain't no third world whiners are we, that want a bunch of shit handed to them?

considering what we've been letting ourselves slide into over the past 30 (40, 50) years we don't deserve no fucking cake yet.

pay off the credit card, ASAP, and then think about saving for that trip to branson.

yep. you should step off the inertia wagon buddy.

Tomorrow I gotta go do some light grocery shopping, pick my scripts, and then
try to get some more of my corn planted, then I may have time to do a little research, and post. ;)

I guess I consider myself a Conservative Libertarian.

I originally registered as a Dem years ago, in the beginning, but
have voted straight Rep, except for Perot, and Barr.
Both times of which it handed the win to the Dems.

Bob Barr
You know the guy that tried to get Bill Clinton out.
He was a Rep congressman, but in this last so-called election,
he was the Libertarian nominee.

no, it's called that just to make it a slogan for those that want something for nothing. the republicans are like someone who maxed out their credit card and don't wanna do anything other than make the minimum payment.

again, bush ran up 5 trillion in deficit and cut taxes. "i am gonna buy a bunch of shit AND quit my job!" sounds like somebody needs a basic home ec class.

"indefensible"?

Wasn't our form of government always doomed to end up as a totalitarian state?
