How much of that increase shift towards the bottom is Dem Robin Hooding? Taxing the rich to give to the poor?

How much of that increase wealth towards the bottom creates jobs in the US as opposed to creating more jobs in China?

good questions. but since the growth rate for the upper income range is essentially the same, it does raise questions as to trickle-down vs. bottom-up growth.

i wonder how much of the variation could be explained by economic cycles that were more or less incidental to the various administrations. if so, then the graph may not mean much.

Drive a wedge as in make everyones income grow instead of just the rich? That's one hell of a way to wedge it up.
