FREDERICK, Md. - The FBI (news - web sites) was draining a municipal pond Monday in a search for evidence of how anthrax-laced letters were assembled in the 2001 attacks that killed five people.
The FBI's Washington field office released a statement saying that its agents and those from the U.S. Postal Service were conducting "searches related to the investigation of the origin of the anthrax-laced letters" mailed in 2001.
