Just when things were going smoothly something comes along an fucks it up.

Earliar today I put Drive Image 5 on my computer and attempted to make a quick image of my C drive(part 1) to be deposited on my D drive (part 2). However something fucked up and my D drive got scrambled. I need to know how to recover the partition.

I know I can do it by repartioning and formatting the whole drive, but can I just repartition and format the extended partition and if so how?

An image file... It's supposed to work in 2000. :(

Bloody software! I suppose I should read the manual....

Ah ha! Sometimes it's good to consult the manual after all...

Apparently I have trouble related to the boot.ini file. In NT and 2000 it includes information about the boot options for windows loader and the order of the partitians. If the partitian order has changed from the original order it may not have been updated to reflect the change in the system files which means I won't be able to boot my partitian.

Sounds suspiciously like what happened......

But they have a solution so I can update and edit the boot.ini. It's called NTFSINI.EXE and it's at their website.
