    Building a Home Theater PC

DVI-HDMI loses the ability to pass sound, though, since HDMI can carry sound and DVI can't. Also, will the HDMI/DVI conversion make the connection lose its ability to talk both ways? If so, it could force blu-ray movies to downconvert to 480p thanks to copy protection.

    Fun with logic

I'm curious as to Spike's take on the Swiss minaret ban.

Here's one 3.7 inches high. That allows 0.8 inches on top for better airflow. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112186

Okay, I'm just ganna come out and say this ...

DU is short for Democratic Underground, a Web site filled with people who all think the same way, very rabidly anti-GOP and especially anti-Bush. If you post something there that disagrees, no matter how it's presented in the name of good debate, you'll immediately be banned with no warning and...

So somehow Leslie decided to ban me from posting

You know, this is probably not the best way to get yourself back into Leslie's good graces.

You WILL use these bulbs, Maggot!

Another thing to think about... the demand for electricity is still trending upward, and good luck getting any power plants big enough to actually made a difference built for less than $21.60 per ratepayer. I don't know what the power plant situation is on Ohio, but things are tight in...

    Electronics Stores

Bought a microwave there for my parents' anniversary this summer. I also bought a fridge at Kmart last year (Kmart and sears are the same company now) and I bought a washer and dryer from there in 2006. Thing is, the only card I really have the room on these days to buy stuff is the Sears card.

    Electronics Stores

Thing is, I can actually walk into a Sears tomorrow and buy a TV, or some Craftsman tools, while I can't walk into Montgomery Ward.

    Fort Hood shot up

That long Bible hit-piece falls victim to tl;dr syndrome, but in the part I did read, with the inaccuracies about, say, Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses worshiping different gods than in the Bible, it makes me wonder about the entire piece.

Isn't Montgomery Ward just an online store that bought the name after the real one went out of business?

    Electronics Stores

They have the TVs on display at Wal-Mart but they don't always do the best job of hooking them up in the store, and kids like to mess with the settings, so you end up with high-dollar HDTVs with snowy pictures that are too dark or too purple or something. But what I was saying is that the...

    Oh, by the way

I just love how thinking gays shouldn't be allowed to marry AUTOMATICALLY means that you MUST hate them and MUST fear them. It's like how if you don't agree with Obama you're racist. Or, for that matter, if you didn't agree with Bush you were anti-American.

    Electronics Stores

For the best price, Wal-Mart is usually worth a look. Other places tend to have better customer service, though. I do like how Best Buy usually has display models out but the products in the boxes right near the display models so you can compare, pick one, grab it and go pay for it without...
