What still grates on me is that they had millions of dollars in unpaid inventory that all was destroyed (not even offered at auction) when they closed. Several competitors heard about the destruction and tried to buy the remainder .. only to be refused.

Interesting parallel to the money discussion. Most courts today are 'commerce courts', with the Supreme court being one of the few not operating under Commerce law. I'm very surprised to see them let the cat out of the bag like this.

The difference is ... coins from the mint are constitutional money and are protected by constitutional law. Paper money is issued by the Federal Reserve Bank and is not. Take note of the flag shown in any court this is tried in ... it's not the US flag.
