    Umm...???

A person winning the lottery isn't probable, but it is within the realm of possibility. An enzyme being made by chance is not within the realm of possibility. Furthermore, evolution requires event after event to take place, all being VERY improbable. It's like a person winning the lottery...

    Umm...???

That's just it though, there are no other alternatives. Physicists have tried it over and over again. If you change any of the fundamental laws whether it is the electroweak force or the strong guage force, atoms cannot form, molecules cannot form...of any sort. We are left with a giant soup...

    Umm...???

I think I'm going to respectfully decline answering that question, because I do not personally agree with this viewpoint. I believe that a sort of evolution exists within individual species, but the evolution of life into these species and of life itself is very hard to accept.

    Umm...???

Well, yes I am biased, everyone is. I try to rationalize and explain my standpoints though. Notice in my statement that I said the creationism must not be accepted as the theory of origin, but rather it must be CONSIDERED. As far as arguments against biology, this debate could get rather...

    Umm...???

:) If that's the way you feel, then that's fine. I just cannot accept the theory of evolution blindly, when such sharp contradictions exist that it cannot (or at least has not) overcome. I am not stating that a sort of creation theory involving a deity must be true because evolution is...

    Umm...???

For lack of any other all-inclusive theory of origin, I would say yes. Until scientists present a reasonable theory that can explain all the basic elements of origin, a theory that involves a deity is the only theory that I see as being plausible.

    Umm...???

That's a nice chart there, but what if we don't accept evolution? It seems that many people take this theory as law, and not what it is...just a theory (a rather flawed one at that).

    Ask the Libertarians

You rated the Democratic stances 153. Democratic Platform You rated the Green stances 39. Green Platform You rated the Libertarian stances 150. Libertarian Platform. You rated the Republican stances 278. Republican Platform. I guess I might be a little further over to the right...

    Peaceful Palestinians?

I'm not sure how a person could logically argue this point, the american dropping of the Abomb is another matter however. The decision to drop the bomb was not an easy one. It took two administrations many months of decision making before the go ahead was given. A big problem with...

    Raising the speed limit...

Yea, that was neat when they did have it. On a nice day, most people drove about 90 on interstate. It probably wasn't the safest thing, but it sure helped getting across that infinite expanse between ND and Idaho.

    Peaceful Palestinians?

While some might argue from this very utilitarianistic point of view, most would probably argue from a more Kantian version. Saying that the end is the only important matter to consider in a ethical decision, is a very dangerous thing. By this reasoning just about any act can be justified...

    Peaceful Palestinians?

Just because many countries don't embrace assinations now doesn't mean they didn't 50 years ago. British agents during WWII caried out at least 2 attempts at killing hitler. The united States succeeded in WWII at targeting the commander of the Japanese imperial fleet after receiving...

    Note to Israeli's

A farily potent one at that. Supplied largely by the US, Israel has a rather large force of tactical/strike fighters and bombers.

    Peaceful Palestinians?

Hamas IS a terrorist organization, the US revolutionary movement was not. It's not to say the Americans followed all the rules of war during the American Revolutionary War, but the overall process and goal of the Americans was not to terrorize the British civilian populations in the colonies...

    Why I love rags

The whole story seems a little absurd to me. I understand that the guys probably a bit bitter at the US for holding him there for that long, but his story is pretty weak. Although I would certainly say that that sort of treatment never occurs at the camps in Guantanamo Bay, I really don't...
