I still have problems trying to figure out stuff in a 4 spatial dimensions. I think they just propose time and other types of dimensions to escape our natural mind limit of 3 spatial dimensions. heehe

Well, yeah, if you take the 4th dimension as time. But in some theories it isn't necessarily time, and it is another spatial dimension (i.e. x,y,z and w). The tessaract for instance is the 4th dimension (in space) analog of a square (2D) and cube (3D).
