INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A four-year-old boy brought crack cocaine worth up to $10,000 US to his preschool class Monday, authorities said.

Police said the boy took rocks of crack cocaine out of his backpack and showed them to other children in his Head Start class, saying the drugs were flour. Teachers realized it was cocaine and called authorities.

Police searched the boy's home, but did not find the parents, Sgt. Russell Burns said.

The boy and his sister were placed in protective custody and arrest warrants were issued for the parents, Burns said. No names were released

what is the world coming to? When will they ever learn that this isn't a good thing?

When people stop using annoying colors to post with.

No one will learn because it is an extremely profitable albeit dangerous buisness...people are willing to buy it and they most certainly do, so broke farmers will continue growing marijuana crops and selling them to cartels.

Its a cycle...there isn't one party at fault here, as much as we'd like to think there is.

You're all missing the one point no one ever addresses, drugs are fun, at least at first. History has showed us time and again that prohibition doesn't work, and still we persist in trying it. Look at how tobacco use has dropped over the last three decades and tell me there's not a better way.

oh I didnt say they werent mate. but it doesnt have a place in our schools. hell Ill admit right now: I smoked, inhaled and I loved it(tho I am not doing any of that anymore I do not regret it and liked it). But again it shouldnt be in our schools esp in an elementary school.

Perhaps it's dropped in "numbers," but from observations of people I see in public in my day-to-day activities, I'd have to say the only reason tobacco companies would go out of business anytime soon is if they're shut down by the government.

I agree, the process is slow. Glacial even. Much more likely to work in the long run, however. BTW, you don't seriously believe they're in any danger of being shut down by the government, do you?

Nope. Far from it. It was my way of saying the Tobacco companies are still alive and well. I can only think of about two people at my work who don't smoke, and the amount of smoke can really get to me at times. Most of the sales staff is around my age too. And on top of that, you won't believe the amount of cogarette bumming that goes on around there. If someone buys a pack, he or she usually only gets to smoke about five out of the 20.

No need to address because that goes without saying. That is the whole reason this buisness exist in the first place.

They're missing another point too. People are stupid.

Again, goes without saying.

Yes, it does need to be addressed. It's the reason people generally start using drugs. All you ever hear anyone saying is "drugs are bad." If you don't explain the complete story, you haven't really addressed the complete problem, have you?

well ok Chic they some are known to have a medical value as well. now we are addressing it more. do people do it for medical reasons? doubtful but some might
