Tip to save you from wasting your time making multiple test posts - when you update your sig it gets updated in every post that you check "Show signature".

My new sig wasn't working in any of my previous threads and i always keep the sig turned on which is why i started a new thread, to see if it really wasn't working. Twas probably a cache issue.
