Galloway was in Saddam's pay, say secret Iraqi documents
By David Blair in Baghdad (Filed: 22/04/2003)

George Galloway, the Labour backbencher, received money from Saddam Hussein's regime, taking a slice of oil earnings worth at least £375,000 a year, according to Iraqi intelligence documents found by The Daily Telegraph in Baghdad.

A confidential memorandum sent to Saddam by his spy chief said that Mr Galloway asked an agent of the Mukhabarat secret service for a greater cut of Iraq's exports under the oil for food programme.

Galloway faces further Iraq claims

Matthew Tempest and agencies Wednesday April 23, 2003

Labour MP George Galloway faced further allegations today, with the Times claiming that he misused funds from the Mariam Appeal to finance travelling expenses.
The paper says the attorney general, Lord Goldsmith, is examining claims made in an earlier Times article that the anti-war MP pledged to use the funds to treat sick Iraqi children, but later claimed expenses for travel to the Middle East, Europe and New York.

However, the paper concedes that so far Lord Goldsmith has only asked the Treasury's solicitor's department to begin a "fact-finding" mission based on the Times' accusations.

Try this one, in light of recent events. Guess who British Labor MP George Galloway is married to? The niece of Yasser Arafat - Dr. Amina Abu Zaid. They share an apartment in Glasgow.
