Another three kidnapped

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Militants loyal to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi said Saturday they have kidnapped three Turkish workers and threatened to behead them in 72 hours, heightening tensions just ahead of a visit by President Bush (news - web sites) to Turkey.

Now that makes no sense. Why capture, and threaten to behead, Turks? They're Muslim, too...and, to make matters more difficult, the Turks are right next door. On top of that, the Turks are some of the most fierce fighters in the world. I hope I'm out of this area before the Turks get involved, because they don't play nice...

Is anyone besides me starting to get the impression that no one is in control of the terrorists anymore? I mean, lets be honest, as long as they were only killing Americans a certain portion of the world was saying "Oh my, how unfortunate." Now maybe some of these appeasing countries will get the idea that no one is safe from these assholes. Of course, Spain didn't. I understand why, but it was a horrible message to send. I think the terrorists are making a strategic error in branching out. Of course, maybe they're having a hard time finding easy American targets now too.
