anyone really well protected

well it ain't a pif, I can tell you that.

edit: or is there an exe that goes with it somewhere?

Yeah.

A kid/teen I know just pops up on MSN and goes...LOOK!! with the link.

I went to copy and I think I clicked it accidentally, that dos window flew up. Now I have Norton going, but :confuse3: I dunno if that's enough? weeeeeeeeeeirdass.

You got one? is it diseased at all?

Winky is accusing me of giving him an STD :(

:lloyd:

I got the balls to open the page, and it's a Dutch 404. :confuse3:

Babelfish translation is - Resistant or map not found the requested file or the requested map does not exist. Perhaps the file or the map has been removed or has the page where you come from an incorrect reference.

K, i think thatd be the page of the ISP of the link owner.

So, they've shut the page down and redirected?

.pif extensions are usually nasty.

Short for Program InFormation file, a type of file that holds information about how Windows should run a non-Windows application. For example, a PIF file can contain instructions for executing a DOS application in the Windows environment. These instructions can include the amount of memory to use, the path to the executable file, and what type of window to use. PIF files have a .pif extension .

do you...think the one time was before or after i clicked it and a DOS page opened? :D

time to do an update of your AV and trojan software, might want to run an online AV as your system may be comprimised.I'd also get a hold of the MSN dude and tar and feather them.

well the dos page opened didn't it? :nerd:
It did for me.
I like livin' dangerous though, and seeing if I'm really protected.
Of coarse I keep really good backups too. ;)

On a farther check...
Every time I clicked it, it tried to access paypal.com,
according to my firewall.
