Are you getting the smallpox vaccine?

Since between 1 & 3 people out of every million die from the vaccine, will you get vaccinated?

The Bush Administration will begin vaccinations shortly, first the one million most likely affected will get it(military, government agents), then the next 10 million probables (ambulance attendents, hospital workers, cops) then it'll be a free-for-all.

almost no chance of problems with the vaccine but almost suredly death without.

tidbit:the WHO in 1981, in an effort to save money, literallly pulled the plug on 99% of the worlds smallpox vaccine. They unplugged their cold storage units. It saved them $25,000. a year.

As a child I had the vaccine every 3 years - five times I believe - I'm still here.

Compared to the 30% death rate from the disease if they offer the vaccine here I'll take it. You get a slightly sore arm and a blister, the last time I had no reaction at all.

eh? They stopped vaccinating kids in South Africa in 1970-something.

But I dunno, just a flying thought I had... 1:3 people die from it... well from where I'm from, we have a bigger killer... AIDS, blah blah blah, when you're told that 1:2 people in your age group are going to die before we reach 25... 1:3 ain't so scary.
