Home of the Masters Golf Tounament. Women get to play no matter what you've heard. If fact, they are there quite often. They just can't join the club.

Well, whoever owns the club should make the rules. And if he happens to disciminate against everyone that isn't male, well, so be it. It is his right and priviledge. The people that bitch around can just fuck off or create their own club.

There are only like 250 members as it is. It is the most private club in the world. You have to be worth damn near half a billion in assets and be a captain of industry and a grand philanthopist. It is a private club that takes no monies from the government and actually gives millions upon millions to all manner of charities each year. They can do whatever they like. Women want to be a member? Hell.. I'D like to be a member ... but it aint gonna happen.
 
Spot, FYI, Augusta National is where they hold the Masters every year.. sometime in April, I do believe. Its the largest jewel of the 4 major tournaments in golf. Its the only major that is played on the same course each and every year.
 
dont they have annual major events at pebble beach and the course in scotland too?
 
Anything but the 4 majors is just a normal tournament week in golf. The other 3 majors : US Open, British Open, and the PGA are held in a varied rotation amongst all manner of courses. Even the British Open only comes to St Andrews once every 4-5 years. Pebble Beach was used for either the PGA or the US Open 2 years ago.. I think. The bottom line is that the Masters is one dedicated course while all others shuffle about.
