Ward Churchill, the Colorado University professor/idiot wanted attention. He got it. He's been proven to be a liar, several times. Looks like he's also a thief.

University of Colorado officials investigating embattled professor Ward Churchill received documents this week purporting to show that he plagiarized another professor's work.Officials at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia sent CU an internal 1997 report detailing allegations about an article Churchill wrote.

"The article . . . is, in the opinion of our legal counsel, plagiarism," Dalhousie spokesman Charles Crosby said in summarizing the report's findings.

Churchill did not return calls to his home or office Thursday seeking comment.

use as an excuse to fire him.
Rather than let it appear that they think he should go because he thinks the victims of 9-11 were ALL

"little Eichmanns".

They should have sent him on his merry way based solely on that alone but that wouldn't be politically correct, now would it?

Unfortunatly you can't get fired from a tenure possition at a public university for being a fucking idiot. You can get fired for plagiarism though.

They need to change the rules and be able to fire idiots. This guy is a total twit.
 
Erm, lemme get this straight - he claimed to be an Indian to make it more plausable that 9/11 victims were in some way the same as Eichmann? WTF?

Tenure should be abolished. Make 'em compete like everyobody else, and make the jobs pay enough that people want to compete for them.
 
CU has been receiving so much negetive attention from the media lately. What used to be considered a good school, is now running it's name into the ground with the plagerisms, the sex scandals, the frat pranks, the drinking deaths and so on.

I kind of wish that they would pick on another college for a while. This stuff happens everywhere, it's just that CU is in the news so much now.
