.....this guy

Meet Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin. He's the new Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for intelligence, charged with tracking down and killing Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden and other Pentagon targets. He also talks like he stepped straight out of the Middle Ages. Radical Islamists hate America "because we're a Christian nation, because our foundation and our roots are Judeo-Christian... and the enemy is a guy named Satan." Regarding a battle against a Muslim warlord in Somalia, Boykin commented, "I knew my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God and his was an idol." Boykin admits President Bush didn't win the election?but that just proves his case: "He's in the White House because God put him there." As for himself, he's just a cog in Yahweh's great machine, poised to crush the Saracen hordes: "We in the army of God, in the house of God, kingdom of God have been raised for such a time as this."

A little over the top but his theory is valid.

"because we're a Christian nation, because our foundation and our roots are Judeo-Christian...

that's fairly well much or most of it.

He also refers the enemy as satan......he is basically on the zealots mentality...zealots that the US fights.

as a Christian, that would be a fair statement. Since evil comes from Satan. Where I get fully amused is
"He's in the White House because God put him there."

I wonder what the libs will think...they said the Supreme Court put him there :D

God....bigger....Satan...idol...kingdom....words used in speech concerning US Safety.....it's downright side splitting funny to me.

same. it almost seems hateful to me. scary actually. it makes it seem like were intolerant of other religions.

The general apologized Friday to those offended by his comments.

Well, I'm done defending his rights to free speech & religion. If you can't stand the heat, don't say anything at all. It's safer.

Voltaire: i may or may not agree with what you have to say but ill fight tooth and nail to say it.

i do stand by that, but id hold the same. anyone can say anything they want to, but think of how others might feel. and the consequnces of it.
