Big lizards in Florida

Sharky

Construction crews working on the Orlando, Florida airport expansion project discovered this alligator recently. It measured 18' 4" (about 5.5 meters), and reportedly had a very bad attitude.

My mother once ran over one while it was sunning itself in one of the lanes on I-95. She looked in the rear view mirror and watched it turn around and go back into the canal on the side of the road.

tough little buggers. Todays random fact: If they eat one large meal then they're set for the rest of the year. Cold blooded = less energy required for climate control
