in Linux no less.

for the ultra-bored

This project uses the power of Linux to add brains to the Big Mouth Billy Bass. The goal is to use any Linux device--desktop or embedded--to make the Big Mouth Billy Bass say or act any way you want! That's right, we want to convert Big Mouth Billy to the least expensive peripheral you'll ever buy.
This project has been submitted to the Embedded Linux Journal application contest. ELJ, together with Tri-M Systems and LynuxWorks, have provided an embedded PC that fits nicely into the Billy Bass frame! Although this project was developed using BlueCat Linux from LynuxWorks, let me again stress that this project can run on any Linux computer, be it a desktop or PC104 embedded computer or Linux PDA. In fact only minor software and circuit modifications may be required to control the Bass using a PDA such as the Agenda VR3.

Just a bit too much time on that guys hands. I'm too busy contemplating the wretchedness of my existence to get involved with something like that. :D
