Mom finally got DSL, so I can post when I come up here to visit.

Anyone know how to set Zonealarm standard to refuse to respond to ping requests? High security settings apparently don't do it, according to shieldsUp!.

one reason i started using Sygate rather than ZA was because ZA
doesn't block incoming stuff as good.

I had some problems with an earlier ver, after installing one
of MS's "updates", but I recently reinstalled a newer ver, and all
seems well.

My dad might finally be biting the bullet soon and getting DSL. Nothing's set in stone... but he's thinking about it. I think the reason why is because he has a fast connection at work and eBay loads a heck of a lot faster there.

In a bit over a week, I will have had DSL for two years.
