WASHINGTON - The United States will revise its plan to create self-rule in Iraq, the U.S. administrator said Friday after consultations with President Bush, but he rejected postponement of a June 30 deadline for ending the occupation and handing over power.
That can't be right...In an ironic shift, the administration will seek the help of the United Nations, whose role in Iraq the president and his top aides sought to keep at a minimum before and during the U.S.-led war to depose Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
