Why wasn't he tried for treason, or at least collusion?
 
If you read the article he was canned when he found out about it. Now there are probably people that could be tried for treason though.
 
The news organizations didn't do anything illegal. Whereas the people spying on them did.

And no I don't agree with the guy politically on everything or even most things, but he does make one think, which is never bad.
