BAGHDAD, Iraq - The first post-Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) governing body of Iraqis will hold its inaugural meeting Sunday, a watershed event on the nation's path to democracy, said the top U.S. administrator, promising the council will have "real political power."

Hell...hes a murderous liar. He told us we were in 'eminent danger' and thats why we had to attack...Wonder if he can get a job with CNN when hes done fucking things up...

Seriously though ,
BAGHDAD, Iraq - The first post-Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) governing body of Iraqis will hold its inaugural meeting Sunday, a watershed event on the nation's path to democracy, said the top U.S. administrator, promising the council will have "real political power."

If you saw the results of the recent Kuwaiti elections, where the Fundamentalists won a majority ,its not possible that Iraqis are going to have a "true Democracy" where the people get to vote for whomever they want.In Kuwait ,the Royal Family still has the "real political power",but if Iraq were to become a "true democracy " then the fundamentalists would gain control and that AIN'T gonna be allowed to happen.

Yeah "real political power"....

the US administrator, Paul Bremer, will have the power to overrule any decisions.

The council is expected to have between 25 and 30 members, but some Iraqis have already criticised it as unrepresentative.

and democratic as well...

But the body has been criticised for being drawn largely from groups which were until recently based outside Iraq.

The legitimacy of the new body is also being questioned by some people because its members have been selected rather than elected.

A puppet government to try to placate the angry people. Hopefully they won't be as easily fooled as US citizens have been by ShrubCo.
