There was a story on the radio the other day.
Seems thives are going up to those racks full of gift cards at assorted stores (Best Buy, Target, etc), writing down the card numbers & then calling & checking on the balance. Once activated, the thief has full run of the credit line, with little recourse.
Only buy the inconvenient ones (behind the counter)
