Classic storm system

Check out this excellent example of a classic low pressure storm system sitting over the midwestern U.S.

The counter-clockwise rotation of the low pressure center is pulling warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico up and over colder air from the north, causing significant precipitation.

That storm has been sitting here since Saturday, dumping nearly two inches of rain here yesterday alone. Lots of wet basements around here now. It finally moved on this morning.
