Check out this excellent example of a classic low pressure storm system sitting over the midwestern U.S. :nerd:

The counter-clockwise rotation of the low pressure center is pulling warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico up and over colder air from the north, causing significant precipitation.

Yay! They've mostly left us (NE Oklahoma) and don't look to be back for a bit. We've had rain and storms for two days
 
You guys got soaked, eh? You know what's coming next, in the next few weeks . . . tornado season. :eek6:
 
Damn thing woke me up last night 'bout 9:30. Sirens goin off, wind howlin. I just went back to sleep :blank:
