This pisses me off to no end. He voted for the resolution for war with Iraq & has done nothing but bitch ever since. Todays (well, yesterdays) crap pushed me to the edge. Can I start a recall petition if I don't live in SD?

If Bush failed so miserably, what did Clinton do, or the UN for that matter? The Dems are setting themselves to look good in case of failure in Iraq or if the economy slides faster.

Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, who earlier in the day had lashed out at President Bush, saying he had "failed so miserably" at diplomacy in the crisis with Iraq that the United States now stands on the brink of war, issued a statement after Bush's televised address assuring the president of congressional unity.

You declare it good politics to attack Iraq, but you can't recognize that its respect for the presidency that carries the oppositions vote on these things? Do you have ANY idea what this is all about?

Don't you see the genius of it?! This way he's all things to all people. The war goes good, he voted for it. The war goes poorly he spoke out against it. Another clintonesque politition. I never liked the guy in the first place but when he faked crying before congress(over the veterans) it made me ill. No one votes out of respect for the presidency unless they are undecided or simply don't care about the issue. An honest person votes their conscience.

Remember. Most politicians were lawyers. Sucessful lawyers. A sucessful lawyer has to win cases. Odds state the half of a lawyers cases are false. A winning lawyer has had to convince people that something false is true. He is therefore, a professional liar. A sucessful professional liar. A politician is a sucessful, professional liar looking for a promotion. A sucessful politician is a sucessful professional liar that got a promotion.

The president is his boss.

Fuck that. Politics stops at the waters edge. If a member of Congress doesn't think it's a good idea to wage war, then vote no. Once the yes vote is counted, STFU.

No. The people get to decide who get's the job. Then he's left to it. The people can't fire him. (least, not without one helluva load of grief.)

Recalls have happened. Grief or no, we are his boss. Same with the prez. Bush(R) is especially not Daschles(D) boss.

his pinhead non-pols add to the mess

Protesters say they will block federal buildings, military compounds and streets in what they consider appropriate acts of civil disobedience. Others plan to walk out of college classes, picket city halls and state capitols.

"People will step up their actions, there will be active civil disobedience," said Simona Sharoni, of United for Peace in Thurston County, Wash.

Organizers claim acts of civil disobedience have been planned in more than 50 cities.

More Fox fun

How nice, Tom found a new playmate :grumpy: :finger: :zap:

Rep. Pete Stark said President Bush would be responsible for "an act of terror" by launching a massive bombing campaign to oust Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

I don't see what was so wrong with what Daschle said. When did W use diplomacy (demands/threats don't count)?
