Property value in Retropolis just went up, again.

Where we still have Christams trees and nativity scenes in the public schools. (...and far more CCW's than all of LA county)

Trustees of the largest high school district in the country voted 4-1 Monday night to mandate displays bearing the nation's motto — "In God We Trust" — and other historical documents in over 2,300 district classrooms and offices.

The display of the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights will be included in the posters approved by district trustees in Bakersfield, Calif. Monday night.

Got a new federal courthouse being built, Imagine this is as good as any way to break it in. Won't be long before Newdow gets his panties in a bunch over this.

Personal note: One of the 4 (of 5) board members is a life long friend, he was elected when my uncles retired from the board. His sister and I spent 7 weeks exploring USA together in our later teens. As kids our familys (several) used to do holidays, like 4th of July Bonfires in the mountains.

+40 years later I still know those same ~30 kids, now all sucessful adults. We have a bond that I'ld haff'to attribute to good ol' traditional parenting and old-school ethos. I offer the same for my children, I would never trade it away for some Enlightened bullshit socialist way of life...
