Did Jack really die?

There's a chain of fast-food restaurants called Jack in the Box. In the commercials, "Jack" is a guy with a big head, like the head on a clown that comes out of a jack in the box, with a little yellow hat on it. "Jack" is cast as the CEO in the commercials.

In an ad that ran during the Super bowl on Sunday, "Jack" got hit by a bus. Now you can follow his recovery on facebook, via twitter, etc.

We don't have them. I didn't see the commercial, so there maybe there was a market blackout here.

does anybody remember the "kangaroo meat" rumor about jack in the box from perhaps the early 80s?

Urgh, sounds like he should have been thoroughly ground into the tarmac to me... I'll pass on the checkups.

Well, it's all a ploy to get the word out that at Jack in the box, you can get everything on the menu at any time of the day. They've advertised "breakfast served all day" for a few years now, so you can get breakfast items at 8 p.m. if you want, and I guess now you can get a Jumbo Jack, Ultimate Cheeseburger, Sirloin Burger, tacos, chicken fajita pita, etc. at 6 a.m. The last thing he said before being hit by the bus was about everything on the menu being available at any time.

I don't know why but those nasty-assed JB tacos have a definitive appeal.

Yeah, what is it with those tacos? There aren't any JitBs here in FL, but the last time I was in TX my friend there took me to JitB for tacos. They weren't the best fast food tacos I've ever tasted, but they were addictive.

Kangaroo, pronghorn antelope, ostrich and emu are all very tasty, and similar in flavor and texture. Alligator may replace beef and pork where I live for economic reasons, but gator meat is as good as any steak or pork chop, if you know how to cook it. The local crawfish are just about as delicious as any shrimp, and free for the taking. All you need is a dipnet or a seine.
