I think he cheated, though. Simply plug in the laptop, place the mouse pointer in the appropriate position, place a small object on the key, and close the lid, thereby keeping pressure on the key.

The old board that I did maxed out @ 6 days 23 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds because it would reset the stats and wipe all of the times. My polar bear held down that LMB for ...hmm... 38 days ... give or take.
