DVD DL

After having the burner for quite some time but being the cheap bastard that I am I've never used the DL feature. Since Office Depot is having a decent sale (25 pak for $39.) it's time.

If I want to back up a movie that I own is there anything special that I should be informed about before wasting forty bucks? The DL feature will be handy for backing up the computer too. Perhaps making one huge DVD of my favorite music (or all my music).

First off ,you don't need duallayer discs to backup DVDs

If I want all the extras off them I do...I have DVD X Copy but it'd be nice to have a complete backup disc

Unless the DVD came on 2disks I've never had to use more than 1 single layer disk.

I use CloneDVD for 1 to 1 backups of DVDs.
Nero is not to good burning DL DVDs
also, I use AnyDVD for removing the encription. (free trial)

I think I have an old copy of CloneDVD sitting here somewhere. Maybe I ought to dust it off (or better yet, get a newer version).
