i'm curious if any of you actually watch all the extra stuff they put on DVD's.

same here.. depends on what it is

they just rerelased or are going to release soon a matrix 10 DVD box set 35 hrs of extras and the 3 movies

Only when I'm waiting for the wife to get out of the bathroom so I can start the movie...

I just spent a chunk of this last weekend watching all of the production footage for the Fellowship of the Ring and the Two Towers... 4 discs ... about 8-9 hours.

I watch every scrap of the extra stuff... in time... but certainly not with the same squealing zeal as the basic movie itself.

Like most, it depends on what the extras are and on which movie it is. If it's a movie I've known and loved for years, I certainly will. If it's a newer release that I greatly enjoyed, I probably will. Otherwise, not likely. I'm more a music freak than a movie fan anyway. And yes, I DO read the liner notes on CDs...

SnP...I read album liners. CD liners are like legal small print ;)

Well, yeah...the LPs are easier to read the liner notes...I just thought I was the last living soul on the planet who remembered them much less owned any of them.

That owned LPs? How about this picture, taken about 75 seconds ago:

Nice. I stand corrected.

I've sold several hundred of mine lately. Still got a stack of about 80 set aside to liquidate, then it'll be time to go through the collection again and see what needs to go. My collection is now someshere between 1000 and 1300 I guess...haven't inventoried in some time. That's the lowest it's been in 15 years or so.

I miss LPs. I appecieate the virtually non-existent wear factor of a CD, but there's just something about holding an LP cover. It's bulkiness makes it special in some weird Freudian sense. The details of the artwork are so much more prominent on an LP...I dunno, just something about them I'll always love.

Anybody wanna buy a few hundred? :deal:
